Tuning the Ear to Tonality
Kyama ku ddyo. (Turn right.) , Kyama ku kkono. (Turn left) , Genda butereevu. (Go straight.)

Sample of free conversation:
A: Erinnya lyo ggw'ani? Ggwe Kamya? (What's your name? Are you Kamya?)
B: Nedda si nze Kamya, nze Mukasa. (No, I am not Kamya, I am Mukasa)
A: Ova wa? (Where do you come from?)
B: Nva Congo. (I come from the Congo.)
A: Oli musomesa, muyizi, musawo oba musirikale? (Are you a teacher, a student, a doctor or a policeman?)
B: Ndi musuubuzi. (I am a merchant/trader.)
A: Ooo, bwe kiri? (Is that so?)
B: Yee, bwe kityo, bwe kiri. (Yes, that is how it is.)


Building Vocabulary [mu/mi - class]
omuti (a tree), emiti (trees), omufaliso (a mattress), emifaliso (mattresses), omulimu (a job) , emirimu (jobs/work)
Note: the letter “l” becomes practically a silent “r” after “i” or “e”.
