Clap Ball

[Materials - Round fruit or small ball]

You can play on any size field. A straight line is drawn down the centre of the field and two teams are formed. The members of each team stand six feet away from the centre line on their side of the field. The first child throws the ball to any child on the other team. All the children clap once as he throws. When the ball is caught they stamp their feet. The catcher throws the ball to someone on the other side and all children clap and stamp as before. This repeats over and over. Both teams must stay off the dividing line. If a child misses a throw, he returns the ball to the tosser, who throws it to him again.
